Privacy Policy

Your chats with Satori are processed in real time to generate a reply and are not stored on our servers. We keep no transcript of what you say. To generate each reply, the text of your current conversation is sent securely to our AI provider (Anthropic) for processing only — see "AI processing" below.

• ◆Account. Your email address and a password (stored only as a secure hash — we never see your password).
• ◆Profile & onboarding. A display name, your "North Star" sentence, and the chip selections you make (why you're quitting, what you've tried, your triggers).
• ◆Session outcomes (metadata only). Whether a session ended in a win, a bail, or a Fall; your heat ratings; the hour of day; and a session's duration. This never includes what you typed.
• ◆Fall Debrief answers. The optional chip answers after a relapse (roughly when it started, the trigger, the device, and what would have helped).
• ◆Technical diagnostics. Limited error reports to help us fix crashes, scrubbed of personal data and never including chat content.

The live "climbers on the rope" count uses anonymous, momentary presence signals — no identifying information is shared between users.

• ◆To run the service — talk you through an urge, keep your streak, and show your progress.
• ◆To personalize Satori over time (your patterns, your risky hours, your weekly read) — the whole point of the product.
• ◆To keep the service secure and diagnose problems.
• ◆To contact you about your account or, if you opt in, progress emails.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use your data for third-party advertising.

Satori is powered by Anthropic's Claude models. The content of your current conversation is transmitted to Anthropic to generate a response, subject to Anthropic's terms and privacy commitments. We do not retain that content after the reply is produced.

We rely on a small set of trusted providers, each processing data only to run Cooldown:

• ◆Supabase — authentication and database.
• ◆Anthropic — the AI that generates Satori's replies.
• ◆Vercel — hosting and delivery.
• ◆Sentry — error monitoring, configured to exclude personal data and chat content.
• ◆Polar — our payment provider and merchant of record. If you subscribe, your payment details go to Polar, never to us.
• ◆PostHog — product analytics. We send only milestone events (for example: a session ended, at what heat, how long) tied to your anonymous account ID. We never send your name, email, or anything you wrote — no messages, no North Star, no debrief answers. There is no tracking script on the site and no session recording.
• ◆Payment and email providers may be added as those features launch; this policy will be updated first.

We keep your account and the metadata above while your account is active so your streak and personalization work. You can ask us to delete your account and associated data at any time.

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data, and to object to certain processing. To exercise any of these, email us at hello@cooldown.chat and we'll help.

Data is encrypted in transit. Access is scoped so you can only reach your own records, and passwords are hashed. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable, industry-standard measures to protect your data.

Our providers may process and store data in the United States and other countries. By using Cooldown you understand your data may be handled outside your country of residence.

Cooldown is for adults. It is not intended for anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect data from minors.

We may update this policy as the product evolves. We'll change the "last updated" date above and, for material changes, take reasonable steps to let you know.
